Favorite Cacao Energy Ball Recipes

I’ve been obsessed with these energy balls ever since I tried them a few months ago for the first time. A good friend of mine made them and it’s actually  a recipes out of Madeleine Shaw’s Get the Glow Cookbook I gave her for her birthday. I love Madeleine Shaw’s amazing energetic character and her easy, healthy and delicious recipes. So I guess it’s a bonus when you eat something nice and sweet and don’t feel guilty at all because of all the good stuff inside. So here we go with these easy made energy balls.

For around 15 balls all you need is 100g oats, 150g almonds, 50g raw cacao, 1 tbsp maca powder, a pinch of salt, 3 tbsp honey, 100g almond butter and 2 tbsp coconut oil.

Now all you have to do is blend the oats and almonds for 1-2 minutes in your food processor. Then add cacao, maca and salt and blend for another minute. Add honey, almond butter and coconut oil and blend again. Then roll the mixture into balls and put them in the fridge for a few hours for them to set.

These protein balls give you a quick energy boost whenever you need it because of the maca powder that pushes your vitality levels. Plus these energy balls will be good to eat for about 14 days when you keep them in the fridge. Hopefully you like them as much as I do. I think it’s the perfect snack whenever you have a busy day at work, at school or you’re just craving something sweet.
